On Thursday, November 12th, WSW Guitarist Dan Peters performed at The House of Blues in Hollywood, CA as one of the Top 5 Undiscovered Blues Guitarists in the country for Guitar Center's "King of the Blues" Grand Finals. He performed both electric and acoustic in front of a sold-out crowd that included judges Hubert Sumlin (legendary guitarist of Howlin' Wolf), Dweezil Zappa, Kenny Wayne Sheperd, Steve Lukather (of Toto), Elliot Easton (of The Cars), Blues Saraceno and Brad Tolinski (editor of Guitar World magazine.) The house band was led by Pete Anderson (formerly with Dwight Yoakam) and the evening was capped with a performance by blues/rock great Joe Bonamassa. WSW guitarist Dan Peters performed as a top-ten finalist in Guitar Player's Guitar Superstar 2008!! It was held Saturday, September 13th at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA where Dan performed to a sold out crowd. The emcee/host for the evening was Andy Summers of The Police and the judges were: Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Elliot Easton of The Cars, George Lynch of Dokken and Brendon Small - co-creator/composer of the Cartoon Network's "Metalocolypse." www.guitarplayertv.com
